Tommy Heinsohn, Boston Celtics legend and basketball Hall of Famer, sadly passed away on November 10, 2020. Tommy was 86 years old at the time of his death. However, Tommy’s family has not shared the cause of death of the former basketball player. According to his spokesperson Jeff Twiss, he had multiple illnesses including diabetes and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Boston Celtics confirmed the death with on Twitter writing,
“We take this time to celebrate Tommy Heinsohn’s life and legacy, and to share in the sorrow of his passing with his family, friends, and fans. As long as there are the Boston Celtics, Tommy’s spirit will remain alive.”
Following his tragic death, many well-known personalities came forward to pay their respect to the dead basketball player.
