When the officers arrived, Thomas was found unresponsive with multiple gunshots in Georgia. The actor was pronounced dead by local paramedics.

According to Craig Wyckoff, his friend and former representative, Thomas had gotten into an argument with someone at the store, and Craig believes that a person might have followed him home. However, the police said that the case is under investigation and denied to confirm that account.
