Fashion World faced great tragedy after it lost one it’s inspiration designer, Kenzo Takada. Kenzo was known for his highly popular brand, Kenzo, a worldwide brand of perfumes, skincare products, and clothes. During his final years, he was serving as the acting honorary president of the Asian Couture Federation.

Cause of Death: What Happened to Kenzo Takada?
Kenzo Takada, a Japanese designer, sadly passed away on 4th October 2020. He died at age 81 at the American Hospital of Paris. His tragic death came from complications of COVID-19. According to sources, Kenzo had contracted COVID-19 in France.
Many models and designers took to social media to share their thoughts and prayers to the dead designer upon his death.

Kenzo started as the first male student to enroll in Tokyo’s Bunka Fashion College to study design. He moved to France in the mid-60s, but it was only after a decade that he started earning success. He opened his first store, Jungle Jap, in 1970 and had a model appear on the cover of “ELLE” magazine wearing his designs. Kenzo debuted his clothes in Tokyo and New York the next year and won the Fashion Editor Club of Japan Award.
He first jumped into men’s fashion in the ‘80s and, five years later, debuted his first fragrance line, Kenzo de Kenzo, in 1988. He launched several more perfumes for both men and women and released his own skincare line, KenzoKI, in 2001. Franc’s LVMH owns his brand, and he served as the Honorary President of the Asian Couture Federation. Before his death, Kenzo Takada had an estimated net worth of $100 million.

Was Kenzo Takada Married? Who’s His Partner?
Before his death, Kenzo was in a relationship with Xavier de Castella. Sadly, his partner had passed away in 1990 from AIDS. His partner had helped him design his 14,000-sq-ft Japanese style house.
Besides Xavier, Kenzo had not been linked with anyone and lived his life as single.

Kenzō Takada was born on 27th February 1939 in Himeji, Hyōgo Prefecture, and was 81 years old at his death. The designer was born to his parents, who ran a hotel. He fell in love with fashion by reading his sister’s magazine. Kenzo had attended Kobe University of Foreign Studies but later joined Bunka Fashion College after his father’s death.
He held Japanese-French nationality and came from an Asian ethnicity.
