David Goggins failed twice trying to recruit in the United States Force Pararescue but later succeeded and entered into “The Pipeline”. Later on, Goggins became a member of the United States Air Force Tactical Air Control Party(TACP). After graduating from BUD/S training in three attempts, Goggins assigned to the SEAL TEAM FIVE and he served his time in Iraq wars.

In 2005, Goggins participated in the San Diego One Day Ultramarathon, a 24-hour Ultramarathon held at the Hospitality Point in San Diego. He ran 100 miles under 19 hours even though he had never run a marathon before. Afterward, in the 2006 Badwater-135 Ultramarathon Goggins achieved 5th place overall at this world class event. David has participated in events like the Las Vegas Marathon .

After that, on September 27, 2012, Goggins attempted to beat the world record for the most pull-ups done in 24 hours. However, he failed due to an injury in his left palm. Later, on January 19, 2013, Goggins finally broke the world record for the most pull-ups done in 24 hours by doing 4030 pull-ups in 17 hours. It was his third attempt to set a new world record.
