Brad, since his childhood he showed his passion in playing hockey. At a very young age of four, he started learning hockey as his father assisted him as a coach. Previously, he was selected in the third round in 71st overall by the Bruins in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.

In 2009, as a professional ice hockey player he made his debut in the NHL on 21 st of October in opposition to the Nashville Predators. In his career he scored his first goal on 3 rd November 201 in the NHL against Jhonas Enroth of the Buffalo Sabres.

From the year of 2009 till to the present he is playing for the team Boston Bruins. Previously, he had played for the team as Dartmouth Subways Midget AAA, Moncton Wildcats, Val-d' Or Foreurs, Halifax Mooseheads, Providence Bruins.

As a member of the Canadian Junior team, he has represented Canada four times in the World Junior Ice Hockey in the year of 2007 and 2008. As the result, he has won 2 World Junior Championship gold medals. Furthermore, he has won Stanley Cup Champion 2011, Prince of Wales Trophy in 2011, 2013, and 2017.
