Bode Miller, a former World Cup alpine ski racer, has shocked his well-wishers with devastating news. The Joint bronze medalist, Miller’s daughter has passed away by drowning on Saturday.
The 19-month-old daughter, Emeline “Emmy” Miller, drowned in a pool when Bode and his pregnant wife, Morgan were attending a Neighbor’s party on Sunday. The Orange County Coroner’s Office confirmed that Emeline passed away in a hospital.
According to Orange County Firefighters, emergency services rushed to the scene. Paramedics even performed CPR before Miller’s daughter was rushed to the hospital, but doctors were unable to revive her.
From the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, a spokeswoman said that the death of Miller daughter was under investigation then. Later on, Bode Miller shared heartbreaking news on his Instagram with Emeline picture.
“We are beyond devastated,” he said on his post’s caption.
“Our baby girl, Emmy, passed away yesterday. Never in a million years did we think we would experience a pain like this. Her love, her light, her spirit will never be forgotten.
