Thomas Delmer “Artimus” Pyle was born in 1948 in Louisville, Kentucky. He celebrates his birthday on July 15, which makes his age 72. He is the son of Mildred Midge Pyle and Clarence Del Pyle. His mother was a homemaker while his father was a construction superintendent. He has two sisters, Marilyn and Peggy. Artimus graduated from Eastmoor High School and attended a year at Tennessee Technological University. He also served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
